With the previous ESSID and WEP systems, users input a short code or password which made them easily to bypass. However, the WAP system incorporates all of the latest standards and compliances. The most recent IEEE 802.11i standards are all complied with. WAP is also effective because of the minimum of six characters required in order to use the system. This is a long enough series to hold off any outsiders who are attempting to steal your internet connection or hack into your personal information. Having a securing wireless network is important, but what solution you choose makes the biggest difference. Anyone with a wireless connection should be concerned about security, and there is no reason not to have a securing wireless network. If you do not keep tight security measures in place, there is the potential for someone to steal your internet connection or your personal information.
